Rant At The Police In UK: Out There To Tackle Crime Or Make Money?

Love Or Hate The Police?

Sometimes i get confused because i don't know whether to love or hate the UK Police. My reasons are outlined below, and i have to admit when they are good, they are good, but when they are bad, they are PATHETIC!

I am livid with the Police in UK and their antics against drivers to make money for their police force and the government. The UK police will go to any cost to stop someone suspicious of driving dangerously when they are in fact not driving dangerously, or stop a black man or Asian man on the road to search them for no reason other than to write something in their report at the end of their shift so they look like they have worked the hours.

There are hooded yobs hanging around street corners, alleyways and bus stops harrassing the local community and causing havoc for innocent people, yet the police are fearful of them and pretend they are tackling the problem of yobs and hoodys stuffing themselves with drugs, alcohol and God knows what else!

UK's crime rate is always higher than other European countries, but why? Is it because of the incompetence of the Police force? The UK law? Or does the government really care about the people that live in this country? UK has one of the strongest economies in Europe, but when compared to other countries, it begs the question 'why isn't money being spent on tackling real crime?'.

Look at the state of the UK Police now being involved massively in the phone hacking scandal with The News Of The World, the government and Rupert Murdoch! The UK police were involved with the phone hacking of Milly Dowler who was murdered, and this is only the tip of the iceberg!

UK Police
UK Police

The whole reason for writing this article is because i used to have an understanding of the police force in UK, especially Merseyside Police, that they were very reliable, there to help people against crime, catch criminals etc.

What i found was a few issues within a small community of people who know policemen and policewomen through buisnesses like restaurants and take aways. They go to eat every week and speak to the staff and owner like they are close friends. They talk about general things, nothing to do with the Police. But when those staff were getting violently assaultedby a gang of youths inside the restaurant which then ended up outside on the street. Guess what? Later on when the on duty police officers came and questioned the victims, the victims were arrested and taken away along with the gang of youths. That seems normal up to now, doesn't it?

Well, guess what happened afterwards? There was a very high ranking Police Officer eating in the restaurant who witnessed the gang of youths starting the fight and spilling it onto the street. When asked for a witness statement by the restaurant owner that very high ranking Police officer decided to take the side of the gang of youths and said the waiters and other restaurant staff started the fight and they're the ones who should be taken away. So the police did take them away and went through court getting short prison sentences.

So what does this say about the police in UK? They can be your best friend and all of a sudden become a witness against you!

A Minority

Ok, probably most of the UK police are not likely to do what the above have done, but what impression does the above give to the community? What about trust and honesty? Do the police not have to have any of that?

Trust is a big word of which there should be no doubt that the police have it.

I know someone who got caught driving through a red traffic light, according to the police officers that stopped him. He didn't actually go through the red lights, he went through the amber when the road was clear and there were no pedestrians around.

The police were adamant that he did run the traffic lights and he got a fine and 3 points. He wanted to take them to court but from previous experience with the police where he was the victim, he thought he'd leave the issue and cursed the police that stopped him. If he did go to court though, the police would gang up on him and the court would decide that he did run the lights.

I agree that it's only a minority of the police officers that would do things like that probably because they want to waste time or make more money for the government, but where is the justice?

The Police Are As Bad As Criminals

The UK Police are as bad as criminals because you can't trust them and don't turn up when you need them. They have their own agendas and are out there to make money because they have been ordered to by the government, who aren't in a good position themselves.

Look at the scandal that's going on now with the police being involved with The News Of The World phone hacking of Milly Dowler! The bribery that was involved, the government and Rupert Murdoch and his son, it's all happening from the top so things like this will filter down to the bottom of the pile. There are big fish and then there are small fish in the UK Police sea.
